Tesla launched the Cybertruck in a delivery event last week in Austin Texas, meaning we finally get to learn more about this futuristic pickup truck and see more of it being filmed and reviewed.
During the event, Elon Musk himself hands over the first production Cybertrucks to a couple of customers and revealed some amazing details about their full-size electric pickup truck such as towing capabilities and straight-line speed. To further prove its capabilities, Tesla released a video featuring a Cybertruck drag racing against a Porsche 911 while towing another 911.
While we can’t exactly tell you what kind of 911 was used in the video, but from the looks of it, it’s probably a base model like a Porsche Carrera T, which is the least powerful in the current lineup since it only produces 380 hp from its 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six. Tesla claims the Cybertruck version in the demonstration is the top-of-the-line variant as it comes with 845 horsepower allowing it to hit 60 mph in 2.6 seconds.
The Cybertruck beat the base Porsche 911 by a car length while towing another 911 on all-terrain tyres, which shows just how capable this electric pickup is.
