A Beautiful Example With a Red Interior
The Porsche 356B Coupe is a car that stands out in many people’s minds as an iconic Porsche model. It’s one that is easy to love and they’re not wildly expensive as far as collector cars go. Really good ones can reach well over six figures, but there are certainly much more expensive Porsche models out there. Right now there is a very nice but far from perfect Porsche 356B Coupe on Bring a Trailer.
The car was purchased in the 1980s by the current owner and from there it had the floorboards redone in the late 1980s. The car also had the Reutter bodywork that was refurbished in 1997. There was also rust repair done at this time, and the car was repainted in its current silver color.
In the rear of the car, you’ll find a 1.7-liter flat-four that’s mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. It’s a replacement engine and in good running order. It was pulled from a Porsche 912 and was modified to its current displacement.
The car has a number of features worth knowing about, including chrome nerf-bars, a center-exit exhaust, a lowered suspension, and a red leatherette interior. There is also a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, the original engine cases, a selection of spares, and transferable Georgia registration.
