This particular 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of only 541 built for the US market during a two-year production run, making it a rare find. But what sets this car apart is the modifications it received under prior ownership by the experts at Shark Werks of Fremont, California.
Finished in Carrara White over Black leather and Alcantara, it features a carbon-fiber rear wing and wider quarter panels compared to the standard 997 GT3. The 19″ center-locking wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 325/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires with 2021 date codes. And the interior features carbon-fiber trim, a roll bar, and Alcantara-wrapped sport seats with red seat belts and door pulls.
This Porsche 911 GT3 RS also received the Shark Werks 4.1 package, which enlarged the flat-six displacement to 4.1-liters using an EvoSpec Stage 3 crankshaft, Darton sleeves, EvoSpec pistons, and Carillo connecting rods. The package also included an Auto Veri oil pump, Sharkwerks Camshafts, EvoSpec head studs, and Cometic head gaskets in addition to an EVOMS engine tune. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle rebuilt by Shark Werks in April 2022 with Guard SW gears and a Guard G50 PRO limited-slip differential.
This 997.2 GT3 RS is now offered by the selling dealer in New York with an OBDII programmer, two keys, floor mats, removed wing supports, and a clean Montana title. Don’t miss your chance to own a fantastic track-focused performance car, which benefitted from a transformative upgrade giving it around 20% more power than the standard GT3 RS!
