The 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 carries the same four-litre flat engine from the GT3 RS with its power increased by 25hp for a new total of 500hp. The chassis is also redesigned and now features a rear-axle steering and a lighter construction. The power is routed through 7-speed double-clutch transmission which is the standard option.
The Porsche 911 GT3 type 991.2 comes in at 1,430 kg when its tank is full. Although it is a bit heavier than the previous model, it still manages to reach 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach top speeds of 318km/h.
What’s more interesting here is that Porsche finally decided to switch back to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Opting for a Porsche 911 GT3 type 991.2 with 6-speed manual gearbox decreases its acceleration reaching 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds but manages to increase its top speed to 320km/h.
That’s the numbers you get when you bid for this 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 on Bring A Trailer that comes in paint to sample Carbon Steel Grey over over black leather and cloth upholstery.
Compared to the standard Carrera, the 991 GT3 boasted updated front and rear bumper covers, a rear wing, and dual center-exit exhaust pipes. This particular example sports a custom Carbon Steel Grey finish, and comes with notable features such as LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), LED taillights, and a rearview camera. However, some scrapes are visible on the front spoiler.
Mounted on the 20″ center-lock alloy wheels of this vehicle are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Braking is facilitated by yellow Porsche-branded calipers coupled with ceramic-composite rotors, and the car features a front-axle lift system.
The black leather carbon-fiber full bucket seats are adorned with houndstooth inserts, Porsche crests on the headrests, and silver accents that extend to the dash, center armrest, and door panels. Rubberized Porsche-branded floor mats cover the footwells, while aluminum pedal covers, carbon-fiber interior trim, and carbon-fiber illuminated door sill guards are additional appointments. The car is also equipped with Porsche Communication Management, navigation, a Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, a radar detector, and cruise control. The Silver Grey seatbelts complement the interior.
The three-spoke steering wheel encompasses a central GT3-branded tachometer, a 225-mph speedometer, an LCD screen, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The Sport Chrono Package adds a stopwatch atop the dash, and the digital odometer shows 12k miles.
The 4.0-liter flat-six engine boasts a factory rating of 500 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. It transmits power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle featuring Porsche Torque Vectoring.
Boasting one of the finest naturally aspirated engines ever to grace a road-legal vehicle, the 991.2-era GT3 RS is a highly gratifying and agile sports car. Its eye-catching Carbon Steel Grey exterior makes it an irresistible prospect for any discerning collector seeking to display its impressive capabilities on their preferred tracks or roads.
