If you’re in the market for a classic Porsche Roadster or some contemporary Porsche Boxsters, then you’re in luck as these lots are currently on offer at Bring A Trailer. Currently, there’s a 1961 Porsche 356B 1600S Roadster, a 1999 Porsche Boxters, and a 2003 Porsche Boxster are up for grabs.
1961 Porsche 356B 1600S Roadster
The current owner acquired this 1961 Porsche 356B 1600S Roadster in 1997 and by then it was already refinished in blue, matched with a red interior. It has a matching blue soft top cover, a black boot cover, and body-matching bumpers with chrome trim and guards. It also features a single deck-lid vent, side moldings, and gold badging at the rear.
The ventilated 15-inch steel wheels are adorned with Porsche-crested chrome hubcaps wrapped in 195/60 Dunlop tires with 2006 date codes. It would need to be replaced before it can safely be used. Each corner of the example has drum brakes.
The interior was refurbished under previous ownership. In contrast with the cool blue exterior is the fiery red bucket seats, matched with red dash pad and door panels. Recently, salt and pepper square-weave carpets were installed and it also covered the cargo area behind the seats.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames the VDO instrumentation which includes a 6k-rpm tachometer, a combination gauge, and a 120-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 59k mileage, with the current owner having added roughly 8k miles.
It was given a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four engine that uses dual carburetors with K&N air filters. In preparation for the sale, the selling dealer had the carburetors adjusted and the oil changed.
☆716978☆ can be seen stamped on the engine-case and it is consistent with a 1,582cc engine that was built originally for a 1965 Porsche 356C rated at 75 hp with an 8.5:1 compression ratio matched with a four-speed manual transaxle that delivers power to the rear wheels.
A copy of the Kardex states that it had a Heron Grey finish when it left the factory in April 1961, matched with red upholstery. It was delivered new to New York through Max Hoffman.

2003 Porsche Boxster 5-Speed
Finished in black with a matching soft top, additional exterior finish of this 2003 Porsche Boxster include side air intakes, speed-activated rear spoiler, roll hoops, and a single central exhaust outlet. The example is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps, wrapped in Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tires. Four-piston Porsche-branded calipers were fitted on vented rotors at all four wheels.
For the interior, front and center are the power-adjustable seats wrapped in black leather. Both the shifter and handbrake levers had carbon fiber accents. Comfort interior features include automatic climate control, wind deflector. Pioneer infotainment screen, with a Rockford Fosgate amplifier. The headrests now have the Porsche crests prominently displayed on the center.
Framing the central tachometer, 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature is a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The digital odometer shows only 27k miles with roughly 4k added by the current owner.
It is equipped with a mid-mounted 2.7-liter flat-six engine and was factory rated at 225 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transaxle sends power to the rear wheels.

1999 Porsche Boxster 5-Speed
This 1999 Porsche Boxster was given a black finish (L741) and it was a matching removable hardtop as well as a black soft top. Other external features include a speed-activated rear spoiler, roll hoops, side air intakes, and a single central exhaust outlet. It sits atop a 17-inch cast alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. All four corners are equipped with four-piston Porsche-branded calipers on vented rotors provide the example’s braking power.
For the interior, the heated seats are wrapped in black leather that matches the door panels and the dashboard. Comfort features include a six-speaker sound system, Porsche CDR-220 stereo, automatic climate control, and cruise control.
The steering wheel, which is also wrapped in leather sits in front of a central tachometer, 160-mph speedometer, and gauges that show the fuel level and the coolant temperature. The digital odometer reveals a mileage of only 28k miles.
