The 991 Porsche Turbo is a practical and reliable daily driver with supercar performance. It’s certainly a car that many enthusiasts are longing for. These cars were exceptionally well-equipped out of the factory and all came with with Porsche’s PDK transmission, carbon ceramic brakes, and Sport Chrono package. It’s twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six was tuned to deliver 552bhp and 516lb-ft of torque.
In a straight line it is an absolute beast. Put the car in Sport Plus mode, one foot on the brake, one pinning the throttle to the floor. Sidestep the brake and you hit 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. Keep the pedal pinned and 100 mph comes up in just 6.8 seconds and the quarter mile in just 10.9 seconds. Around a track, it is even more impressive. The 991 Turbo S lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:27, which is 3 seconds faster than the 991 GT3. Thank the extra power and better speed cornering thanks to the standard PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), ceramic brakes, torque vectoring and all-wheel steering.
