The 992-generation Porsche Carrera GTS boasts a slight power increase of 473 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, accompanied by a modest reduction in weight—up to 55 pounds lighter than a Carrera S. It outperforms the brakes of the 911 Turbo and is offered in coupe, convertible, and Targa body styles, with options for all-wheel or rear-wheel drive. Transmission choices include Porsche’s PDK dual-clutch gearbox or a seven-speed manual featuring a factory short shifter.
The GTS model introduces changes such as the availability of the Lightweight package, which incorporates lighter glass, a lithium-ion battery, Porsche’s premium full-carbon bucket seats, and a rear-seat delete. Opting for the Lightweight pack also includes four-wheel steering and additional underbody panels for improved aerodynamics. All GTS models come equipped with the Porsche Sport Design body kit and tinted lights throughout.
During an Autobahn run, AutoTopNL effortlessly reached the top speed of the Porsche 911 GTS at 193mph (312 km/h). This performance is particularly notable as it was achieved in real-world conditions with unpredictable weather and challenging road surfaces.
