This particular 911 was built to serve as a tribute to legendary Carrera RSR race cars of the 1970s that competed in the IROC series. As its name suggests, this Porsche comes with a full IROC-style body conversion, custom interior, upgraded brakes and suspension, and an overhauled 3.0-liter twin-plug engine.
The body features a widened steel fender flares combined IROC-style bumpers and a rear wing. As you can see from the photos, it is finished in Mexico Blue and was fitted with new OEM body seals, stickers, decals, and windshield. It rides on a set of custom RSR-style Braid Fuchs wheels measuring 9” wide in front and 11” wide in the rear, dressed in period-correct Michelin racing tires.
Moving to the interior, the cabin has been changed and is now installed with a pair of corduroy-trimmed sport bucket seats, a three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, RSR-style door panels, and Schroth safety harnesses. Additional equipment include a stereo system, Sony RSXGS9 Bluetooth, Focal 3-way speakers, RetroSound amplifier/subwoofer, custom Porsche-branded floormats with yellow accents, stainless-steel “IROC RSR” door sills, and an aftermarket shifter.
This 911 gets its power from a a 911SC-derived 3.0-liter flat-six engine rebuilt using new components and has been upgraded with MSD twin-plug ignition, PMO carburetors, and an S-Car-Go/SSI custom exhaust system.
