Insane 7min 38sec Nurburgring Run Makes the 2017 Panamera Turbo The Fastest Sedan In the World
The new Panamera Turbo features a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that has 550 hp and 567 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough to get the sedan to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph. The Panamera Turbo isn’t just about outright speed either, with handling much improved over the outgoing model.
To prove it, our friends at Porsche just set a new 7 minutes 38 seconds record at the Nürburgring ring. The new record proves that the Panamera Turbo is really quick around the “Green Hell”, handily beating some big hitters like the Ferrari 430 Scuderia and Lexus LFA (see below). For context, the new model is 14 seconds faster than the previous Panamera Turbo around the course.
