Singer Vehicle Design – Michigan Commission
Today, we take a closer look at the Singer Vehicle Designs Michigan Commission. This left hand drive coupe has a stunning exterior and interior combination that we absolutely love. It iis a classic build, which means it was restored in California.
The Michigan commission exterior color is known as Resistance Blue and it has light ghosted side stripes and Deep Orange lettering. Looks fabulous. In the center of the front hood the machined aluminum, externally mounted fuel filler can be seen. Wheels are specified with closed lugnuts and are combined with the carbon ceramic braking system and Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Brake calipers are presented in Deep Orange with black lettering. At the rear of the car, bumperettes are specified in body color, while the rear decklid features raised lettering in nickel.
Under the carbon fiber rear decklid of the Michigan commission is a 4.0L, naturally aspirated, air-cooled flat six. For this Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer, the engine has been specified by its owner with velocity stacks, finished in champagne gold. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a six-speed, manual transmission. The engine bay is presented with diamond-quilted leather in Cinnamon, matching the car’s interior.
The interior of this Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer is trimmed in Orange with bespoke leatherweave seat centres. The owner of this car has specified lightweight carbon fibre track seats. These are trimmed in Orange, with bespoke leatherweave seat centers, nickel grommets and piano black seat backs. The bespoke leatherweave design is continued along the dash strip, complemented by nickel badging The sills, transmission tunnel and lower surfaces in the rear compartment are matched to the car’s exterior in Blue Blood. The central tachometer is presented in orange with white markings. In the rear interior compartment, a harness bar and fold-down seat backs are specified.
The interior of the Michigan commission is just as stunning as the outside. The owner of this build specified lightweight carbon fiber track seats. These are trimmed in Cinnamon with suede-mix weave seat centers, nickel grommets and piano black seat backs. The sills, transmission tunnel and lower surfaces in the rear compartment are matched to the car’s exterior in Resistance Blue. The front luggage compartment is presented in Cinnamon with Alabaster stitching.
Early 911 style gauges are specified and the central tachometer is presented in black with green markings. Suede-mix leatherweave is used for the seat centres and on the dash strip. On the seats, the leatherweave is complemented by nickel grommets, while on the dash it is paired with nickel badging. The transmission tunnel and sills are painted in Resistance Blue to match the car’s exterior, leather is Cinnamon while carpets are specified in Oatmeal.
