Since its debut in 1954, Porsche has reintroduced the Speedster model several times, the latest being the 991 iteration. The 991 Speedster combines elements from various Porsche models: its body borrows the silhouette of the 4S Cabriolet, while carbon fiber components are sourced from the 911 R, and its bumpers from the GT3 Touring. Yet, the Speedster boasts distinct features such as a shorter windshield frame and a lower fly-line.
One exceptional offering for the latest Speedster is the Heritage Design package, an aesthetic homage to Porsche’s motorsport legacy. This limited-edition option adorns the Speedster with a livery reminiscent of vintage 356 racers, complemented by a Silver Metallic paint reminiscent of bygone eras.
Underneath, a manual transmission pairs with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, tuned to deliver 502 horsepower by Porsche’s GT division. The exterior bears a classic ‘PORSCHE’ graphic, gracefully arching over the rear wheel arches. Exclusive 20-inch satin platinum wheels with black center locking hubs enhance both style and performance.
Notably, the Heritage Design Package offers an option to delete the white-painted trim for a sleeker appearance just like this example offered for sale by RM Sotheby’s, maintaining the sophistication of the GT Silver Metallic over Cognac and Black leather.
This specific Speedster, numbered 0925, boasts additional options including a 23.7-gallon extended-range fuel tank, front-axle lift system, and more. With only around 1,500 miles traveled and meticulous servicing, it’s a pristine example of Porsche craftsmanship, offered with just two owners since new.
