Singer Vehicle Design – Triplet Commission
Today, we take a closer look at the Triplet commission, one of Singer Vehicle Designs latest cars. First of all, this car was restored by the team based at Singer’s new California center of operations and it is no surprise at all that the Triplet Commission is an absolute stunner.
Externally, the car’s carbon fiber bodywork is presented in Irish Green with nickel touring trim.
Powering the Triplet commission is a 4.0L, naturally-aspirated, air-cooled flat-six. The engine, built by Ed Pink Racing Engines, is specified with a ceramic plenum finish, and drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Internally, the engine bay is completed with diamond-quilted leather, matched to the car’s interior. The engine cover features 4.0L badging and raised gold decklid lettering which looks very cool.
The interior is stunning and is specified in Light Tan with Houndstooth seat centers. The owner of this car has specified 4-way adjustable touring seats. These are trimmed in Light Tan, with bespoke, black, white and tan houndstooth seat centers. The sills, transmission tunnel and lower surfaces in the rear compartment are carpeted, and folding rear seat backs are specified. Alabaster stitching is used throughout. The early 911 gauge style is specified, with dark ivory markings on a black background. Woven leather is specified for the dash strip and the interior door panels. Singer Racing Orange is used for the needles and the redline on the central tachometer.
