Singer Vehicle Design – Berlin Commission
Today, we take a closer look at the Singer Vehicle Designs Berlin Commission. This left hand drive coupe is a red Singer which is quite rare. Like other Classic Study cars, the Berlin is built in Singer’s California location. This car was shared with the public in January 2022. The carbon fiber bodywork for this LHD sunroof coupe is presented in Berlin Red, complemented by raised nickel badging and black lettering.
Wheels are presented with closed lugnuts, while brake calipers are finished in black with white lettering. Michelin Pilot Sport tires are fitted. Powering the Berlin commission is a 4.0L, naturally aspirated, air-cooled flat-six, featuring a ceramic plenum finish. The owner has specified a 6-speed, manual gearbox and rear-wheel-drive for their Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer.
The cabin is trimmed in black with bespoke leather weave inserts and the front luggage compartment features quilted black leather surrounding the fuel cell. For the Berlin Commission, 4-way adjustable Sports seats have been selected. They feature leather-wrapped seat backs, leatherweave seat centers and nickel grommets. In the cabin, the main gauges are presented in black with cream markings, with the exception of the tachometer which is matched to the car’s exterior. These instruments are framed by a Momo Montecarlo steering wheel. While a bespoke red, white, and black leather weave is specified for the seats and doors, the dash strip carries its own distinct, understated black weave. Between the front seats, an extended center console is selected, together with wireless phone-charging.
