The 2024 Porsche 911 S/T is a limited-edition sports car that pays tribute to the original 911 S/T. This car also happens to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 and embraces a purist philosophy, giving up modern technological advancements in favor of a more analog driving experience.
It features a lightweight design, incorporating carbon fiber elements and thinner glass. Power is provided by a high-revving, 518bhp engine from the 911 GT3 RS and a 6-speed manual gearbox featuring a lightweight flywheel and a clutch that’s only half the weight of the GT3 Touring’s. The chassis configuration provides excellent control and balance without the aggressive steering found in the GT3.
But is it really the ultimate road-going 911? Let’s listen to what Yuri and Jakub from the TheStraightPipes YouTube channel has to say about this driver-focused 911 as they take it for a drive and see if it lives up to Porsche’s commitment to continuous improvement.
