The second generation of the Boxster debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show with the (997) 911 and became available for sale in 2005. This page is focused on these models, known as the 987.1 which ran as 2005 till 2008 model year vehicles. The Boxster and Boxster S models received a facelift in 2008 (2009 model year) and became known as the 987.2.
